Jonathan Swift Reading

In the article " A Modest Proposal"  written by Jonathan Swift tries to persuade the readers personally i think is the most insane idea ever. He believes that with the over populated countries that we should eat the less fortunate peoples kids that are at least a year old. He believes the "beggars & Thieves" are n't anyone important and thinks that we should eat the starving peoples kids to cut down on reproduction of that certain class of humans. I find this mind boggling. First off if we were that hungry as a whole we would find a more sane way to get food instead of eating malnourished babies. Secondly i believe that a lot of people would rather starve then become apart of cannibalism. Eating human flesh leads to nothing positive  and if everyone has already seen The Book Of Eli it shows the so of the long term effects of cannibalism. Later in his article Swift states that eating children will help with poverty and cut down on criminal acts due to starvation and oh this ones great, the percentage of miscarriages because babies won't be seen as a precious life's and been seen as food.  Swift then goes on and states a baby could make some good bacon. This article makes me laugh inside a little bit because it is seriously so far fetched and if someone or people actually did this in the real world they would be locked away for life for having a serious mental disease. In conclusion i am pretty much willing to bet that people would rather eat anything on this earth then a infant.
