Jonathan Swift: Post Write

The article, "A Modest Proposal", written by Jonathan Swift was a proposal for a solution to the overpopulation problems we are seeing across the world. He suggests eating our new borns was a great idea, myself on the other hand would rather starve to death than eat a human infant. Looking at the earth as a whole I think there are better proposals than this one; such as using wasted space for non-consumable crops, and start farming things we can eat there instead. Or allowing non-farmlands to be converted to raise a few chickens and/or small livestock to produce the needs for survival. I understand the theme for this class is post-apocalyptic, but I don't see a lot of people for this proposal. I also am coming from a point in my life with a lot of options around me for food. Throughout our history as humans there has been many cases of people eating others to survive bad conditions, but to kill a baby is on another level.
