Turning The Tide and Homefront USA blogger-Shaun Conway Jr.

The Turning The Tide section begins by talking about how a lot of people begin to move north in waves to get to the colder climates where the zombies freeze. This section is mainly about how a man from southern Africa devises a plan about how to win the war against the zombies and survive the apocalypse. The plan was called "Orange 84" and basically it explained how and why all of the refugees couldn't be helped. Only the quote on quote "valuable" people would be helped. This was due to the fact that they didn't have enough resources to supply all of the refugees. Therefore, the plan was to use the refugees as human bait to distract the zombies while the government and army recollected themselves in an isolated area so that they could rebuild themselves and attack the zombies in certain points. The Homefront USA chapter was about how at this point during the apocalypse, everyone is trying to rebuild the destruction that the zombies have created. Most of the "valuable" people that were selected were people with white collar jobs such as well-known rich Hollywood film creators, but these jobs that the white collar workers were specialized in weren't really useful pertaining to rebuilding things and trying to get everything back to how things "used" to be. They needed mechanics, carpenters, farmers--blue collar workers. The irony was that the rich people who were over qualified for the blue collar jobs were now working for people that once worked for them. For example, a cleaning lady that used to work for a Hollywood film director was now the boss of the film director. Also, during this section, the citizens are super depressed and begin to give up hope. But then, a man creates a movie on how the humans are winning the war which gives people hope and it actually brought down the suicide and depression rate.
