Around the World, And Above

This chapter starts off in the Province of Bohemia and the person being interviewed in David Allen Forbes. They were talking about the differences between castle and palaces and they believed that castles were the strongest between the two because castles were there to shield the body, soul, and Britain. The next interview was with Barati and he didn't believe zombies was the main problem; He believed it was ignorance of what people were facing. Barati talks about how some people believed that zombies were intelligent and some people thought you can cultivate them like an animal and Barati wanted the people to know that we were fighting dead people, not a living human being. Next, in South Korea, Choi tells us that North Korea is the most well prepared for an attack like this. They interviewed a man named Kondo and he talks about they tried to get prepared when zombies attack; he talked about all the work they did and he explains how escaped from these zombies. The next interview is still in Japan, but author talks to Tomonaga and they talk about his attempts of suicide, but he ends up not doing it. His encounter with a zombie changed everything because after he killed that zombie, he becomes a zombie hunter with the help of the gods on his side. The next place the author goes to is Cuba and talks to Garcia about how Cuba one the Zombie War because of their geography and they were so helpful to the American refugees. The next interview in China was about how the population is so large and all the civilians helped fight and it talked about the process on how they prepared for this zombie apocalypse. The next interview took place in Australia where they talked to a man named Terry who told them his experience in space during the zombie war and how he witnessed everything in space, but Terry ended up dying three days after the interview. The last interview took place in Chile with a man named Olguin who was at a conference about survival strategies and war. The final decision was made in the conference and it was to attack.

This chapter was important to the larger portion of the story because it explained how each of these countries handled this zombie invasion. It also was important because we found out which countries were more equipped than others. I liked this chapter because we got to see the point of views of other people and not just people in the U.S. I also liked it because it helped me understand how far these zombies spread throughout the world. This chapter introduces space to the class and how different it was to witness the zombie attack on Earth from space. The chapter also introduces survival strategies and how China and Cuba used their different survival techniques. We can discuss which country was the best fit during this zombie attack and why they were the best fit.
