Around The World, and Above

This section starts off discussing the difference between castles and palaces, how a palace is a glorified home that provides little security while a castle was built to stay standing and keep people out. Those became safe havens in the Zombie apocalypse. The author then interviews a man named Barati, he is of the opinion that human ignorance is the real enemy when it comes to fighting the Zombies. We couldn’t wrap our minds around what needed to be done. The narrator then head to North Korea to interview a man who believed that they were the most prepared for the Zombie invasion.
The next person he interviews, Kondo Tatsumi, personally my favorite interviewee in this section, his story of living in the internet to prepare himself and the things he experienced when the internet finally failed were very interesting. He wouldn’t have been the type of character to live and be able to defeat Zombies without the knowledge he had gained from being so imbedded in the Internet. The next stop is Cuba, they didn’t have much of a infestation problem because of their location. They, however, came to the aid of numerous migrants. Then in Australia, we met a man named Terry who had witnesses and survived the apocalypse in space. The section finally ends in Chile with a man who had been witness to the final decision of the Zombie committee, they decided to fight and take on the zombies.

This section is important because it takes a look at how different countries handled the issue, not people. It shows the differences and mind states around the world, showing which were most successful and the ones who were not. This fictional book represented each quite accurately.
